The rapper’s Twitter page now says “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” while his Instagram profile reads “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”
The Yeezy star hasn’t yet offered an explanation as to why he’s deactivated his social media accounts.
Earlier this week Kanye skipped the Met Gala, with sources saying he wasn’t yet ready to return to the spotlight following his hospitalisation and breakdown at the end of last year.
A source told People magazine : “It had nothing to do with the Met Gala. It was more about the stress and pressure of a big red carpet. He just wasn’t quite there yet. Kanye has been doing okay. He’s made a lot of good progress and is in a much better place.”
They added: “He’s still very much enjoying his time off from public events.
“He’ll be staying back in LA with their kids [North and Saint]. Everything is great with him and Kim and he’s supportive of her going solo.”
Kanye’s social media cull comes just a day after Kanye and Kim launched their kids’ clothing line.
The superstar husband and wife have collaborated on a collection called The Kids Supply which was launched in the Kardashians’ hometown of Calabasas, California today.
An excited Kim announced the big news via Twitter on Thursday, telling fans: “For the past few years Kanye and I have made almost all of our kids’ clothes and we have collaborated on a new kids line!
“The Kids Supply has been what we’ve been working on for a long time. I’m so excited about this!
“All of my friends would ask where we get our kids clothes so now they will be available! Tomorrow’s drop is so sick! Just a hint…Calabasas.”
Mirror Celebs has contacted a representative for Kanye for comment.
